An Interior Designer is involved in designing the interior of a house, apartment, office or other structural space. This includes an understanding of colour scheme, textures, furniture, lighting, fittings, furnishings and sometimes architectural features in a manner that is aesthetically appealing and functionally useful. He or she works with both private and public spaces including residences, shopping malls, schools, offices and hospitals.

Qualifications

• 10 +2 in any stream with 55% aggregate to pursue a degree course in Interior Design. For pursuing a certificate or diploma course in interior design, a person must be at least 10th pass

- 4 year Bachelor of Fine-Arts (BFA) or

 • 10+2 pass in any stream

- Part time 1 year diploma program
